THE STARSHIP PROGRAMME
Why 'The Starship Programme', you ask? The answer is simple.
At IMPACT Commerce we don't have interns; we have STARS, illuminating fresh perspectives to our projects, and leading us to explore new possibilities.
This is why we refer to our internship as a Starship Programme.
As a Star in our Starship Programme, you'll get the chance to apply your academic learnings in a professional setting, bridging the gap between the classroom and your future career – all while working closely with a team of dedicated and highly skilled colleagues.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout your time in the Starship Programme, you’ll be paired with a mentor who’ll offer guidance, support, and insights, helping you navigate the complexities of your projects and make the most out of your time at IMPACT Commerce.
Together, we’ll create a personalised development plan that aligns with your academic studies and career goals, ensuring that your journey with us fosters your professional as well as personal growth.

Each track is designed to develop your skills and offer hands-on experience in your chosen field, making you an integral part of our mission to change commerce for the better.
MEET RUTH
“At IMPACT, they truly focus on you, your development and learnings. On one of my first days, I had a chat with my mentor who told me that my most significant task was to learn. To get insights on IMPACT and the developer world – not to take on extra workload or uninteresting projects.
My internship period became a mix between learning and working on a client project. I had the time to watch tutorials, make mock-ups, ask stupid questions, and try out my solutions independently. In my opinion, IMPACT is the place to be if you want to learn a lot.”
Every week would begin with the Monday morning brief and breakfast.
We had daily SCRUM meetings within my team
There was prioritized time for research, watching tutorials, learning from looking through others' codes, and sharing knowledge.
I would work on code for the app of the client project I was assigned to while getting professional sparring.
Additionally, time was prioritised on building apps for practice and playing around with the code.
MEET ANDERS
“An internship is a reality check on your university skills – and that’s the reason I chose to intern with an agency like IMPACT. I had the opportunity to join a team as a junior profile, helping out on many different projects for several interesting clients. Mostly with analytical work on clients, sales pitches, and creating UX solutions.
Joining IMPACT has given me more experience and insights than I could ever hope it would. And working in a bigger agency – with lots of different experts, approaches, and solutions – has sharpened my skills and business knowledge as a designer.”
Every day would begin with an overview of meetings and yesterdays work.
We would work on customer projects and prepare for meetings, for example, by making user stories.
There were planned brainstorming meetings with my team and customer pitches.
I got time to collaborate with other designers, for example, preparing customer meetings, tests, or drawing wireframes.
At the end of the week, we would stop by the weekly Friday bar and say ‘cheers’ to the weekend!

As a Star, you are considered equal with the rest of our IMPACT'ers. You'll automatically join our employee club, where you'll get invited to participate in all kinds of social events – from paddle tennis to a Sommelier class. Our offices are never low on coffee, tea, snacks, breakfast, or lunch, and naturally, you’ll have access to all of it.

Nothing but yourself. We will meet up before you begin and plan together. When you start, we’ll naturally provide everything from breakfast and coffee to pens, papers, and IT equipment.

We'll invite you to an interview if we find a match between our Star positions and your skills- and mindset. If we connect with each other, we might follow up with a small task for you to solve to get a taste of your ways of working.
Next up: Our onboarding universe. If you're hired as our new Star, you'll be introduced to not only your team but all our departments, IT systems, social events, and much more.
Finally, it's your time to learn, ask questions, and take part in everyday life here at IMPACT. And who knows – what begins as a Starship might end with a job – we’ve seen it before with both Anders, Ruth, and other IMPACT'ers.

Let's go on a digital journey to understand: Take, for example, our case on Montana Furniture, which has 70.000 different configuration options available for customers to personalize their products. That's a lot. Without being too tech-ish, we helped transform Montana's catalogue into an online universe that provides the same atmosphere as a physical store.
Creating seamless user experiences with great tech and design is what we do. And that's why we need you and your up-to-date university brain – to challenge and innovate future online universes.
