.NET Developer with Azure
Are you passionate about working with Azure services, cloud architecture, and software development? Do you wish to work with admired brands? Then this is the job for you
ABOUT THE JOB
As a .NET Developer with Azure at IMPACT, you will primarily work on new project implementations, designing and building cloud-based solutions from the ground up within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The role has a strong focus on greenfield and transformation projects, with limited maintenance work on existing solutions.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help translate business requirements into scalable and reliable cloud solutions, mainly within e-commerce projects based on headless and composable architectures. You will collaborate with experienced colleagues and work on modern technology stacks for some of the largest brands in the Retail, Brands, and B2B sectors across Scandinavia.
Our solutions are built using modern architecture patterns and technologies. At IMPACT, we place strong emphasis on mentoring and knowledge sharing, and we expect you to actively use this environment to grow your skills, take on new challenges, and gradually increase your technical responsibility.
This role is well suited for developers who are curious, ambitious, and motivated to grow. You don’t need to be an expert in every Azure service from day one — what matters is a solid foundation, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to step outside your comfort zone when building new solutions. Over time, you will be encouraged to take greater ownership of technical decisions and play an increasingly active role in shaping solution design.
Your primary focus areas will be:
Design and implement new cloud-based solutions using Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Storage, along with other Azure services depending on project needs
Contribute to greenfield and re-platforming projects, with only limited involvement in ongoing maintenance
Build secure, reliable, and scalable applications in line with industry standards and company policies
Monitor and optimize Azure-based applications during and after go-live phases to ensure stability and performance
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture overviews, data models, and process flows
Stay up to date with Azure services and cloud technologies, and actively experiment with and adopt new approaches that improve our solutions and ways of working
Collaborate with DevOps teams on automated deployments and CI/CD pipelines
Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared coding standards and best practices
YOUR PROFILE
We expect you to have a solid foundation in .NET development and Azure, combined with a strong interest in building new solutions rather than maintaining legacy systems.
Required experience and skills:
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and .NET-based solutions
Proficiency in C# and experience building backend services
Good understanding of cloud architecture principles and integration patterns
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and cloud data storage patterns
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
A curious and ambitious mindset, with a willingness to learn new technologies and take on challenges beyond your current skill set
Nice to have:
Experience with messaging or event-driven architectures (e.g. Azure Service Bus)
Exposure to headless or composable commerce solutions
Relevant Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
WHAT YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME ON
Building new cloud-native solutions
Working on greenfield and transformation projects
Minimal legacy maintenance work
